Saturday 18th March, 2023

The workshop runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Please arrive from 9.30am to start promptly at 10.00am.

We welcome local artist, printmaker and teacher Sarah Robinson to the farm to teach linocut printmaking. A really creative day where you can design, carve and print your own lino block to make original artwork, greeting cards, labels and wrapping paper.

The day will be inspired by the natural landscape around the farm in spring time – the hedgerows, fields, animals, plants and woodland.

The class will begin with a short walk around the farm to collect objects which will inform your work. You’ll be assisted in making pencil drawings of these items and shown how to transfer the designs onto a lino block. You will then learn how to carve the block, ink it up and print your unique designs.

There will be a variety of printing media to experiment with, including greeting cards, labels, wrapping paper, postcards and also good quality paper. So at the end of the day you’ll have some prints to take away.

All materials and tools will be provided. Tea, coffee and lunch is also included in the price. Please let us know about any dietary requirements in the box above.
